Alain Leloup

En 1995, le photographe Alain Leloup s'invite dans l'intimité d'une vie de banlieue en région parisienne. Bien qu'ayant été commandée par les archives départementales de la Seine-Saint-Denis, cette série puise son origine dans une partie de l'adolescence du photographe passée à Aulnay-sous-Bois. Le livre est constitué de trois segments. Le premier comprend trente et une photographies de façades. Le second propose le portrait de seize familles dans leur cadre quotidien. Leloup précise qu'il n'a pas apporté de modifications aux éclairages ou aux intérieurs. Le troisième s'intéresse quant à lui au contexte urbain des pavillons qu'il a visités.

In 1995, the photographer Alain Leloup invites himself into the intimacy of a suburban life in the Paris region. Although commissioned by the departmental archives of Seine-Saint-Denis, this series has its origins in a part of the photographer’s adolescence spent in Aulnay-sous-Bois. The book consists of three segments. The first includes thirty-one photographs of facades. The second one presents a portrait of sixteen families in their daily lives. Leloup states that he did not make any changes to the lighting or interiors. The third is interested in the urban context of the pavilions he visited.
