La communauté est un groupe social dont les membres vivent ensemble possèdent des biens et des intérêts communs. J'ai choisi trois exemples aujourd'hui au cinéma et à la télévision qui illustrent cette notion de communauté et comment ce mode de vie singulier peut parfois basculer dans l'étrange, voir l'horreur. L'adaptation du roman d'Ira Levin Les Femmes de Stepford en 1975, Bienvenue en Arcadie l'épisode 15 de la saison 6 de X Files en 1999 et enfin le classique de Peter Weir, Truman Show d'après l'excellent scénario d'Andrew Niccol en 1998.
A community is a social group whose members live together and share common property and interests. I have chosen three examples today in film and television that illustrate this notion of community and how this singular way of life can sometimes slip into the strange or the horror. The adaptation of Ira Levin’s 1975 novel The Stepford Wifes, Arcadia the 15th episode of season 6 of X Files in 1999 and finally Peter Weir’s classic Truman Show based on Andrew Niccol’s excellent script in 1998.
