Heather Benning est une artiste canadienne. En 2015 durant une résidence à Redvers dans la province du Saskatchewan, elle décide de réaménager une ancienne ferme à l'abandon. Après avoir chiné du mobilier un intérieur d'époque est progressivement reconstitué. Inspiré par les jeux de son enfance, notamment l'univers de la maison de poupée, l'artiste décide ensuite de mettre en scène la maison. Elle y ajoute des parois de plexiglas et un subtil agencement de lumières colorées qui définissent chaque pièce. Les visiteurs du site ont ainsi pu profiter de ce curieux jouet grandeur nature pendant quelques temps. Plus tard avec l'aide du vidéaste Chad Galloway, Benning organisera la disparition de sa maison dans un incendie spectaculaire. Une performance éblouissante sur le temps et la disparition de l'enfance.

Heather Benning is a Canadian artist. In 2015 during a residency in Redvers, Saskatchewan, she decided to redevelop an old abandoned farm.
