La maison est la matière principale des œuvres de l'artiste australien Ian Strange. À travers ses installations monumentales, il peint, découpe et met en scène de manière spectaculaire des lieux de vie abandonnés ou en cours de réhabilitation. Il interroge ainsi son passé d'enfant du suburbain, mais prolonge aussi l'histoire de ces quartiers. Sa série Suburban, a été initiée en 2011 et à suivi la crise des subprimes. certaines des maisons du projet avaient été saisies et démolies.

The house is the main subject of the works of the Australian artist Ian Strange. Through his monumental installations, he paints, cuts and stages in a spectacular way these places of life abandoned or in the process of rehabilitation. He questions his past as a child of the suburban, but also prolongs the history of these neighborhoods. His Suburban series, have been initiated in 2011 after the subprime crisis, some of the houses of the project had been seized and demolished.
