Valentin Béru

Au printemps 2019, dans le cadre des Rencontres Photographiques de ViaSilva, Valentin Béru réalise la série Exotisme Périurbain. Le photographe Rennais y consigne avec soin un territoire en devenir. Le chantier et ces machines transforment peu à peu les terres agricoles et certaines courbes deviennent des lignes droites. Le cadrage et la lumière de ces compositions sont précis et révèlent un esthétisme troublant derrière la mutation du paysage.

In spring 2019, as part of the ViaSilva Photographic Festival, Valentin Béru creates the series Exotisme Périurbain.The photographer carefully records a territory in the making. The construction site and these machines gradually transform the agricultural land and some curves become straight lines. The framing and light of these compositions are precise and reveal a disturbing aestheticism behind the landscape's mutation.
